Out of the Blue, Hiranandani (Powai)

I think I went on a Saturday in December, 2011. These two fresh college grads were singing. AMAZING VOICES, the guy sounded like John Meyer!

The ambiance has potential to be brilliant, but not on weekends (Screaming kids, etc).

The Wine List is good. Tried the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc (thanks to constant coaxing by kiwi friend) . Its kinda mild and a little too sweet and wet for my taste.

The non veg platter has good choices if you find yourself overwhelmed by the menu!

Must also try chocolate fondue with assorted fruits! Do skip the cheese cake though, its well below par.

If you want romance or a quiet adult meal with your friends, I'd say go on weeknights or Lunch!

Do Remember to make reservations!!

Cheers!

Decent Wine List! Try the Australian Chardonnay.

I Don't remember eating much.
The band that day was pretty sucky. Choose your night wisely!

Loud Music though..Not much talking possible...

In all honesty, worth a skip. Maybe you can go for Brunch/Lunch when the music has some scope to be softer.

Take 5, Bangalore

This is a somewhat classy and laidback place...Jazz music, comfy sinky sofas, dim lit, candles, etc...perfect for conversations and generally catching up with friends you're interested in listening to.
Although they have this huge projector screen that they pulled out for the Australian Open Finals(DJOK vs NADA)...unfortunately, that match was followed by a screening of some crappy ex bolly/tollywood celebrities' cricket match...that was annoying and quite frankly, a buzz kill.

The Wine collection is pretty limited, although all major Indian and Imported wines are listed. Skip the food..its quite regular. I would suggest ordering Dimsums (momos) as they are decently priced and you get good quantity.

Over all, Just go for the Music and Catching up with friends over Wine or Beer and fried peanuts.

Cheers!
